Summer Smash 2008

On Tuesday, July 22, Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education (AAYTE) hosted its Inaugural Summer Smash at its state-of-the-art tennis facility in East Falls . Summer Smash is an AAYTE Participant/Adult Round Robin Tennis Tournament dedicated to raising awareness of AAYTE's programs. The event was a “smashing” success, raising thousands of dollars for National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) programming. Board members and friends of AAYTE met and played tennis with AAYTE participants. As always, the children were the stars of the show! A special thanks to everyone who participated.

A special note of thanks to WOGL 98.1 “Greatest Hits of the 60s and 70s” for providing entertainment for the evening; and to Amoroso Baking Company, Carole and Jay Weitzman, Brown's Shop Rite, Beck's Catering in the Flourtown Farmer's Market and the Hudock Family for generously donating food for the barbeque.
